Briana Monet - Storyteller, Cinematographer, and Brand Visionary
From a young age, I discovered the power of storytelling, thanks to my grandmother, who vividly connected me to my roots through her words. With many key relatives lost or facing health and mental health challenges, her stories bridged generations, making the unseen feel familiar and the unheard unforgettable. Her vivid tales inspired me to craft stories of my own, leading my parents to jokingly call me a dreamer. Yet, I believe my imagination shielded me from becoming a mere product of my environment.
My passion for capturing life's stories led me to explore photography, with my work showcased in galleries and even sold to collectors. But still frames weren’t enough—I craved motion, emotion, and impact. I moved to Miami, chasing my dream of filmmaking. There, I immersed myself in commercial work and gained invaluable experience interning for major music labels like Sony and Warner Music, and fashion brands such as Reformation, Celine, and Tory Burch. It was in Miami’s rich, multicultural environment that I uncovered the deep connection between marketing and storytelling—and I fell in love.
Impatience with Hollywood’s gatekeeping pushed me to take charge of my own destiny. I launched a staffing company to help aspiring filmmakers break into the industry via news and commercial opportunities. This move led to executive producing and serving as Director of Photography for an award-winning feature film shot in Brazil, opening doors to federal contracts with Homeland Security and FEMA for impactful documentaries. My journey continued with work for major networks like HBO, TNT, BET, Revolt, and Complex News, paving my path to Hollywood. Since then, I’ve collaborated with powerhouse brands including NetFLIX, TOYOTA, Nike, Adidas, Spotify, Nickelodeon, TNT, and Disney.
Throughout it all, my passion for storytelling has remained rooted in a mission—to bring attention to health and wellness. After losing family members to preventable health conditions and navigating my own autoimmune diagnosis, I made it my mission to merge storytelling and wellness through my company, BM Productions. Our work focuses on creating meaningful content that transcends boundaries and connects with audiences globally, with a special emphasis on impactful narratives in health and wellness.
I believe that stories have the power to outlive us, touch lives we may never know, and shape perceptions for generations to come. Through intentional, strategic storytelling, I’m committed to making a lasting impact.
